Huge cones

If you go down to the woods today...

The hedge is gone :0(
But the new fence is pretty good compared to what was originally proposed. It's a good height and there is enough soil to get some nice thing growing up it over time. Till then, we shall just have to appreciate the birds further afield in places with huge cones and lovely grasses.

Sorry about the hedge but I'm pleased that you're happy with the new fence and were able to keep your little shortcut between the gardens. There are lots of climbing things that can grow up and be cover for the birds or provide flowers for the bees and butterfies. Hope you're not too exhausted after all that hard hedge-work. Isn't it good that the forecast is better for the bank holiday weeknd after all these grey skies and rain? Greetings from Norfolk...

Hi Sheila,
We're definitely thinking along the same lines, climbing plants, bees, butterflies, SUNNY WEEKENDS!!!

I am pooped but plan to do more this weekend cause I'd rather be pooped in the sun than have this work hanging over me in winter. The sun is so energising and then when you conk out it feels summer holiday-ish. Well, that's what I tell myself, it keeps me happy.

Have a beautiful weekend in Norfolk (always wanted to visit there).
