My work: Felt brooch 1991

Felt Brooch (detail) 1992, wool, cotton, glass beads

Mum is late picking me up so I thought I'd squeeze in a speedy post since I had access to an old drive (to get Christmas songs for the car). Ironic that I made actual jewellery when in the textiles department, but made sculpture, mostly, when in the jewellery department. I'm an awkward little miss at times!

Haha! That's the thing about whims - they often hit at totally innapropriate times. I love this piece, it looks beautiful and tactile. The image makes me want to touch it!

Sorry to hear about your chronic fatigue, but glad to see all these fab pieces from the 1990's! Take care, Merry Christmas!

Hi Cally,
I was reading the letters page in our local paper yesterday and there was one from someone who's wife had been ill with ME for 18 years but had recently been greatly helped by something called 'The Lightning Process'. I had never heard of this so I Googled it and there were a lot of results. The website I looked at was www.fatigueanswers.com though there would be lots of of info on other sites as well I'm sure. If you hadn't come across this before, it might be interesting to check it out.
Happy Christmas from Hazeldog and me in Norfolk

Hi Sheila,
Thanks for thinking of me, that is so nice of you.
Yeh, I heard about the Lightning thing on the radio earlier this year and looked it up but it is WAY out of my price league. There was another one I read about that had some favourable results too but same deal, mucho money - which I have exactly none of. Since then I've heard a lot of people saying negative things about both which made me warier. Not that I'm put off purely by any bad press, I love homoeopathy and the Docs are forever slagging that off, but at least it is affordable for me to try a little at a time when I have a bit of cash. Until I fall into a fountain of money I'll need to stick with the cheaper options, but will always be keeping an ear out for the alternatives and what % of people find them helpful, so thanks for mentioning.

I love this piece - like pin pricks of blood on the white felt -the stuff of fairy-tales. Thankyou for dropping by - it would be an honour for me to have anything posted by you:) Looking forward to sharing inspirations with you in the New Year - lots of love Mandy xxx
