Ouch

Lucy had a suspicious lump removed. about 10 days ago. Still waiting on the results but the vet seemed to think it should be ok. But look at the enormous patch they shaved off her, I'm glad it's not winter as she'd be really cold. She's not allowed to hop skip jump (or run) and has to be kept on the lead until at least Friday.

I'm sorry to have been off the blog for over a week. I seem to be having a lot of trouble with my eyes, and looking at the screen is really painful. Do any of you with M.E./Chronic Fatigue have eye trouble? I never did the 1st time I had this, so it may just be age related. In fact, I'm getting eye ache already so I better send this before I have to stop.

I hope you are all well, and that those of you with gardens are enjoying the fruits of your labours. I'll try and post a picture of a nice corner of my garden soon, when the downpour stops and the sun shines.

hello girl

may Lucy be feeling better--that vet really made quite a canvas, and your eye, the photographic artistic eye, it made art out of that dog's adventure.

My dog is getting old; already had a huge tumor taken out too. I swear there is something still in the dog food.

sweet peace, health, joy.

i hope you and lucy are doing better. fingers crossed that the lump was nothing... my lab gets lots of fatty tumors that look scary but so far have been nothing.

Poor Lucy, she doesn't look very happy. I'm sure she'll be ok soon though. My Jack Russell has two lumps growing & I think they're just fatty but he may have to have this done too.

Hi Cally,
I do get sore eyes as a part of my CFS. There are two aspects: one is the quality of your tears can be affected, and also the muscles tire easily. Luckily you can get "false tears" in the form of drops which do help. I have also had a "special" (read expensive) prescription in my glasses which involves something called "prisms". These support your eyes somehow, and really make my endurance for reading and screen work much greater. You can also do gentle eye exercises to strengthen the muscles - stretches and so on, but I found I could not tolerate these when my eyes were bad. They are good to do once they are feeling better though. If you can seek out an optometrist or orthopist who is familiar with CFS-related eye problems it could be helpful. Good luck!
Amanda
Hope this helps.

OH girls, I do hope that you are both on the mends. I can relate to Lucy's hairdo a little bit. Think the Dr over did it in the name of style. Tell her that I just had a giant chunk of my hair razored off by an overzealous stlyist here in NY. I an one of their house models which translates to "do whatever you feel like." While after a wonderous cut she then hacked out a glob ala kindergarden experiment. I said what in the heck was that. She said, something unexpected. Yeah I'll say unexpected. So tell dear Lucy that she has the current look of New York City. Remind her that she is beautiful... I posted bits of video for you to spy under the sea! Best,
