I love wallpapers, not all over my walls, maybe just one wall, or inside cupboards, but mostly for making things with (anyone redecorating, I'd love your scraps). Today I'm loving this one, gold on blues always appeals, from Cole & Son. I just love the Classix Exotic Flock range, especially Jasmine, Albany, Rosemary, Woodstock and the Damask flock shown below.

Oh, I was just in a shop yesterday, looking through books of Cole and Son paper. My dream kitchen has one small, papered feature wall (in the breakfast nook, I think), and I'd love these trees or roses. Pretty!
I'm also really liking this Svenskt Tenn wallpaper, but it's £45 a roll at Liberty. Eep.
I love the timeless elegance of these papers. They would work well as accents in a contemporary setting or used more liberally in a traditional context.
One day (not now unfortunately) when I have a huge light bright period home with lots of windows, I'm going to paint the walls white and frame long strips of beautiful hand-painted papers to decorate the walls. And just have a polished grand piano in the corner. And NO plastic Fisher Price tat.
oh this paper, this paper...my head is spinning with ideas. I can feel my wallet becoming thinner.
The Cole and son classix exotic flock was used this week on DIY SOS on the BBC, it looked absolutely fantastic, like you, i am loving it.
