Yes, I'm blue. I was taken a year ago yesterday at my Under the Sea party. I planned to go as a mermaid, not original I know, but when I was a kid I was convinced I was one, or ought to be. I'm still very much into mermaids but when I announced the theme I discovered 2 other s were coming as mermaids so I changed my outfit to a jellyfish...
Any excuse to wear a blue dress and paint my face blue. The look of the outfit went drastically wrong at the last minute when a thread caught on something and bunched up the painstakingly jelly-like headpiece, but the rest looked good. Lots of individually sewn fronds of iridescent disks and wiggly cut recycle clear packaging (lots of it) created 6ft long trailing tentacles with tiny battery operated fairy lights hanging though the length. I love fairy lights.

A guppy, I made this for my friend who never makes his own costumes, I was so pleased with it though I could have done the eyes better, I was a bit rushed by that stage.

Octopuss girl, we were in hysterics setting her up for a photo on my pink gym ball.
