Emma Van Leest
Crust Station fed my love of papercut work with a new mane (to me) Emma Van Leest. Once again, someone who puts my own pieces to shame, aren't they amazing, so much details and no rips. I always have rips, or at the very least, ruchles (a scottish word? for ruched up bits, crumpled). Here's a detail of her above piece from her December Saints series...

Happy belated Birthday! March is such a great month.
I've been meaning to tell you that all you recent postings have been so lovely! I have really been enjoying reading them all. I especially enjoyed seeing your posts about your art work. What a treat! You make so many beautiful things. I was thinking later about your pod influenced pieces; did you ever make one inspired from a "mermaid's purse?" I thought you might be drawn to their unusual shape and sea creature origins.

Funny you should ask that... I have a pre drafted post waiting to go about just that!
Thanks for this link Cally - I just love and admire papercuts - I wish I had the patience and skill for it.
also loved the posts about your work - love that you never made any silver earrings and stuck to your own thing - we are all individuals does seemed to get a bit lost these days.
Love this link Cally , what a great find!
