Christian Dior 2007
Some pleat and fold details from Christian Dior 2007.
Not much pleating, but plenty of folding going on around Mr P's house just now (yes, this is a live post from me, not a pre drafted one like my jewellery posts). Miss P and her boyfriend come to stay in 1 week and we had the busiest most productive weekend of sorting, sifting, putting away, recycling, removing...
Most amazing of all, I have resisted my usual urge to repaint a room or rip up and redo a floor, which is what inevitable happens the day before guests arrive. Daphne wasn't so controlled, I laughed a lot (with recognition of myself) at her bathroom post.
Mr P is not into organisation and is very resistant to being helped in that department by his bossy best friend. But, after 12 years of dealing with his grumpiness and resentment about these things he's suddenly realised it was all for his own good! He even appreciated and thanked me for all my efforts, past and present! Best of all, he's realised it actually saves time in the long run. No more of his precious little free time need be spent trying to find things. He can start enjoying his rare free moments without guilt of what he ought to be doing. I like that.
Our lives are so connected, like the pleats and folds of these dresses, that when one suddenly feels things to be lighter and better, the other often feels better too. Not that any of this is happening overnight, but there are glimmers of change, little tastes of optimism and of life being less - tangled.
ps. still not been able to check my big fish email, just incase anyone was trying to reach me there.

also, your jewelry is knocking me back! i love your work. it is beautiful.
I'll let you know another mail to reach me on. I will get the bigfish stuff, eventually, but I have to be on my own computer to access it.
I'm so tickled with shy happiness that you like my work, i will definitely need to privately let you see my more personal work.
I really need to take a day out of my life to re-organise my spare room/so called studio - its getting a little crazy and affecting my creativeness! haha...John Galliano never ceases to amaze...
