My books - seaweed/biology papercut 1992
Handmade papercut book: paper, ink, thread 1992
I just liked the way this handmade book looked against the TV screen, it's not actually blue in normal light. This is the closest I've got to showing you my more interesting handmade books (other than sketchbooks) but even here you can't actually see the contents. I'm such a paper tease! I've got stacks and stacks of books, not necessarily like this one, and a plan to use them in a collaboration with a some talented people in the future.

Looks very mysterious, like some strange arctic light spectacle, not material at all. Beautiful. Now I'd like to take it in my hands and have a look at it for real, esp. want to see the part thread plays.
marjojo
you are spot on, the background image was the Tundra episode of the mighty boosh, so it really was arctic.
i have some books i think you'd like more, cream with red & black ink and red thread. they open out to a long piece so that they can be mounted as a series in one frame, but with the cuts in them they are nicest kept folded with light behind. i will mark one with your name for the i do my big giveaway once everything has been properly photographed (long term goal).
Many thanks for visiting our blog! I checked practically every entry of yours where I found any blue tag or thing! You have a wonderful web, as I said earlier, I hope that your creative energy continues for very long time. Now I want to recommend you a good food blog from and Estonian who actually lived in Edinburgh for 7 years. She blogs about food and only food. If you have time I am sure you will enjoy it! www.nami-nami.blogspot.com

Thanks for your birthday wishes last Thursday! :) It made my day, and to have you come over was definitely was a treat in itself. I'm crossing my fingers that everything will work itself out, and to not stress out so much for chasing my dreams.
