I've cropped and edited those shots Mr P took for me of our un-predicted huge snowfall on the 3rd. The weather folk on TV sounded quite mortified that they didn't see it coming, nor could they as I have just discovered the real cause was down to an event in Michigan a few days earlier, described over on Graf Nature Photography, Notes from the woods

Hi Cally... it's just like that hurricane that the Met Office totally missed a few years ago!
Great pix... I lived in Cardiff and spent a lot of time in E-burgh. Would have loved to move there, but had to come back to the US.
